Pyramid of Menkaure/Mykerinos

"With a height of only 65 meters the pyramid of Mykerinos is less than half the size of the two other pyramids in Giza" (ancient-egypt.com) It's amazing that that pyramid was only that tall. The pyramid of Menkaure is 10 times smaller than his father's, Khafre, pyramid. Many people think that once this pyramid was getting encased in white polished limestone that they covered it from top to bottom. That is because the bottom 16 rows were unfinished without any trace of the limestone being there. When Menkaure built his pyramid three queen's pyramids were built. Today, only one of the three pyramids is occupied, but the other two may have at one point as well. This pyramid of Menkaure is WAY more complex than his grandfather's, Khufu, and his father, Khafre's, pyramids in Giza. To try to hide the king/pharaoh's mummy a false entrance was built to protect the royal tomb. A wooden coffin was found and dated to have been used/built in the 26th dynasty. Menkaure was not able to see the finished pyramid of his, but if he could he would have been amazed!
